Construction of a solar panel farm is almost finished on Hwy. 147 near the Georgia State Prison and the Reidsville Municipal Airport, in Tattnall County. All of the power produced at the facility will be sold to the Georgia Power Company for the duration of the 20 year power purchase agreement. Tuesday, December 2 was the Runoff Election in Tattnall County to decide the new Chairman of the Tattnall County Commissioners. Earning that position was Ashley Durrence with 764 votes, over his opponent, Keith Dixon with 523 votes. Durrence will be sworn into office next week after he returns from a training seminar in Athens for newly elected officials.
