A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who robbed the Reidsville Country Store in Reidsville. According to the police report, shots were fired and the store clerk received minor injuries.

Tattnall County Manager Faye Hussey has formally announced her plans to retire in July 2014. Hussey began working in the Courthouse in 1969 when she was only 15 years old.

Members of the Tattnall County Board of Education were sworn into office on January 3. Board members are: Richard Bland, Chairman; Marilyn Lanier, 1st District; Brandon Johnson, 2nd District; Marilyn Dasher Carter, 3rd District; Mary Ruth Oliver Ray, 4th District; and Donna K. Tootle, 5th District.
