Of course, the big news this past week was Christmas, and all the fun that entails! We hope everyone had a good holiday surrounded by loved ones and lots of food!
Santa Claus arrived in Reidsville a few days early on Tuesday, December 18 to visit with children at the Reidsville Dairy Queen. Lots of kids lined up to share their last-minute “wants” with Santa at the DQ.
In other front page news, Charles C. Chandler was honored by the Tattnall County Board of Education with the naming of the newly paved road to the bus barn in his honor. A ceremony was held December 20 at the Bus Barn in his honor.
A fire destroyed a mobile home in Reidsville last week. Fortunately, no one was living there at the time.
The 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade is coming up on January 19th in Glennville. This year’s Grand Marshal is Al Berry, a Glennville native, and now Commanding General of the 88th Regional Support Command headquartered at Fort McCoy, WI.
