This week’s paper is a two-section special! Be sure to check out the second section, which features dozens and dozens of Letters to Santa from the county’s school children. Also, there are lots of Christmas greetings from area businesses and individuals. Remember, The Tattnall Journal will be closed December 24-25 in observance for Christmas. Next week’s paper will still be printed and distributed on Wednesday, December 26.
The front page of this week’s paper features an article on the retirement of long-time banker Jeanette DeLoach. She was presented a resolution in her honor by the City of Reidsville.
Starting out on the front page is a feature story on Kevin Fletcher, who has undergone a liver transplant. He and his family live in Collins.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville on December 15.
And, Valdosta State University won the National Championship! Tattnall’s Kenny Murphy is a part of the Blazers’ football team and took part in the game and celebration, as a freshman.
