On the front page this week, Reidsville is welcoming Tom Jones and his family to town! They are opening “IGA Market” also known as the Reidsville IGA in the same location formerly occupied by Stewart’s IGA. The family is from Macon and they plan to open the store in December.
The Tattnall County Warriors had a very successful homecoming as they stomped Beach 58-6. At halftime, Jessica Joyner was crowned Homecoming Queen.
It’s nearly election time and right now Early and Absentee voting is underway. Early voting will continue through November 2. The General Election is set for Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
The Tattnall Lady Warriors softball team is continuing their winning streak this week by advancing to the Sweet 16. The team plays this week in Jackson, GA.
The Reidsville Lions Club is selling commemorative Christmas ornaments this year of the Alexander Hotel. You may remember the first in the series of ornaments was the Tattnall County Courthouse, which sold last year. The Alexander Hotel 3D ornament is limited to only 250 and each come with a numbered certificate of authenticity and history on the building. Makes a great Christmas gift!!
