At the top of this week’s edition, Ralph Stewart was honored as the Reidsville Rotarian of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow. Tattnall County volunteers and businesses went together to help feed Ft. Stewart soldiers and families for the Fourth of July. The HeritageBank of the South honored employee Jeanette DeLoach for her 50 plus years of service in the banking industry. A Tuesday afternoon fire destroyed a utility building owned by Jose Santana. And Canoochee reported on last week’s storms, which caused power outages in over 2,500 homes.

The only candidate who announced intentions for the July 31 Primary Election this week was James Carter who is seeking the Second District seat for the Tattnall County Commissioners.
