In this week’s edition, we have an updated story on the construction work underway in downtown Glennville. Reidsville’s All-Stars Mite Boys won the GRPA for the sub-district and will now go on to compete in the State tournaments.  Jennifer Gomez of Reidsville was honored recently as the 2012 Georgia Migrant Student of the Year. And the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes received a $10,500 donation from proceeds raised from the 25th annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner held in Glennville this past April.

The only candidate who announced intentions for the July 31 Primary Election this week was Douglas Keith Dixon who is running for Chairman of the Tattnall County Board of Commissioners.
