Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal (wife of Gov. Nathan Deal) visited Collins Elementary School on Tuesday. Also visiting was State Superintendent of Schools Dr. John D. Barge. The visit was part of the First Lady’s “Read Across Georgia” tour.
Also on the front page is a story on the recent hail storm that came through North Tattnall; additional information on the dedication of Sharpe Field at Glennville Middle School Friday evening, May 11, in honor of Sterling and Shannon Sharpe; TCHS junior DeShon Nails took part in the South Junior All-Star Team’s showcase, played at Armstrong University in Savannah and was named as an Honorable Mention to the Class AA All-State Team; and Glennville is holding their first Easter Eggstravaganza and concert this Saturday, March 31 at the Glennville Recreation Department.
