Former Police Chief Donald Burke passed away August 11. He had most recently been in charge of security at the Tattnall County Annex.

A vehicle crash on Hwy. 196 August 7 claimed the lives of three men and one other was airlifted to Savannah. The deceased are Staff Sgt. Joseph L. Cunningham, Julian Edward Wosencroft, and Victor M. Rodriguez Jr.  Airlifted to Savannah was Abdiel  Garay-Colon.

Fiesta Mex Mex, a mexican restaurant in Reidsville, recently constructed a new sign at their establishment but city officials say the sign is blocking the line of sight for on-coming traffic at the intersection of Brumby Ave. and Church St.

$12,000 has been presented to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes from fundraisers this year, including the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Cookout, hosted by Wayne Dasher of Glennville.

The Tattnall Warriors will take on the Metter Tigers in a scrimmage game Friday night, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.

    I enjoyed your family’s story about your brother “Ben” with the red hair. Alda, was it “red” or was it “strawberry blonde?” My girlfriends from Ireland have “strawberry blond” naturally colored hair, and the whitest of white skins that the sun just frowns upon…even in the shade, Alda!! But, alas they’re such beautiful friends…sometimes I press my fingers on Goretti’s arm, and I can see my delible fingerprints whiter than her skin…kinda neat, eh?
