Two men escaped from the Tattnall County Jail Friday, January 24 and police are still on the hunt for them. Chad Dasher, W/M, 38 and Raymond Smith, W/M  25, are still at large.  Dasher is 5’9” and 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes and was in jail for burglary and car theft.  Smith is 6’, 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  He was in jail on molestation charges.

Sterling Sharpe will be inducted into the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame the weekend of February 14 and 15 in Greenville, SC, at Furman University. The football standout started as a Glennville High School Bulldog, then playing for the University of South Carolina, and finally the Green Bay Packers. Today he is an analyst for the NFL Network.

The Lady Warriors of TCHS are ranked #4 in the state in Class AAA basketball. The girls have been on a winning streak here lately.

Rep. John Barrow came to town and met with constituents at the Tattnall County Farm Bureau.

And, Senior Recognition Night is coming up Saturday, February 8 at TCHS. Senior athletes will be recognized during the girls’ and boys’ basketball games.
