Leading off the paper this week is a feature story about Tattnall native Brandon Harton, who is a senior football player at the University of Georgia. The article is reprinted from the Athens-Banner Herald.
Reidsville will be the location of the 31st Annual Christmas Parade this coming Saturday, November 30! The parade will head through town about 10 a.m. and then the festival will kick off in the Veterans Park, located behind the Alexander Hotel. Lots of fun to be found including cash prize giveaways every hour!! Kids will also get to visit with Santa (and have their pictures made).
Our Thanksgiving story this week features Charles Dutton and his life story growing up as the adopted son of Mattie and Gene Dutton of Glennville. Charles just recently met his birth mother and two siblings.
And Canoochee EMC welcomed the crowd for Farm-City Week last Friday. Keynote speaker was Claxton Poultry and Fries Farms Chief Financial Officer Greg Finch.
The Tattnall Journal office will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 27-29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 2.
