All good news on the front page this week! Tattnall County’s Teachers of the Year were recognized at the Board of Education meeting and RES Teacher of the Year Wanda Mosley gained the additional honor of being named the system-wide Tattnall County Teacher of the Year. Other honorees include: Beth Wilson Kennedy, RMS; Jessica Helms, TCHS; Clarice Shuman, GES; Stephanie Lane, GMS; Renee Lively, CES; and Stacy Todd, CMS.
Smith’s Restaurant owner Joyce James has been named Grand Marshal of the Reidsville Christmas Parade.
And TCHS softball standout and Class of 2014 graduate Katie Collins signed a Letter of Intent to play softball at the University of Georgia. She is the first female athlete in school history to sign with a Division I college.
The Tattnall Journal will print the paper one day early next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Deadline for news and advertisements is Monday, November 25 at noon.
The Tattnall Journal office will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 27-29 in observance of the holidays. The office will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 2.
