This week, Reidsville’s Ruth S. Anderson was honored by the Tattnall County Board of Commissioners. A large number of friends, family and former colleagues attended the meeting where Anderson was presented with a Resolution of Appreciation for the many volunteer hours she has given to Tattnall County over the years.
Tattnall County voters approved the county’s SPLOST in the election, as well as all city incumbents who were up for re-election. Two new council members, Gerald Powell Jr. and Debra Sikes Burns, were elected to the Cobbtown City Council.
Susan Waters has been named Executive Director of the Vidalia Onion Committee. She has been Executive Assistant since 2009.
RMS student Francisco Arturo Lobato, 14, died from a battle with a kidney disease. He was in the eighth grade.
And Veterans Day will be remembered on Monday, November 11, with several observances throughout the county.
