The Tattnall County High School Lady Warriors’ Softball Team are the 2013 Region 1-AAA Champions for the first time in school history! The ladies defeated Pierce County on Saturday, October 12, to seal the championship. They moved on as the first seed in the first round of State Playoffs.

Emma Bacon, a singer/songwriter from Reidsville, is a Georgia-Country Teen Artist of the Year nominee. is an organization whose goal is to promote, market, book, and advance the careers of country artists in Georgia.  It is also Georgia’s number one website for country music with over six million hits since it was first created.

Mrs. Geraldine Miller is the honoree for the VFW’s Blood Drive, which was held October 21.  Mrs. Geraldine has served for many years as the President of the Ladies’ Auxiliary for VFW Post 7764 in Reidsville.

Denny Wingate, brother of Reidsville’s John Wingate, rodeo cowboy and Kansas rancher, came home for a visit for the first time since 1993.
